The associate degree in Applied Health Sciences is the perfect fit for students working
toward careers in healthcare including registered nurses, dental hygienists, and other
high demand health professionals. ºÚÁÏ¿Æ has a long history of preparing students for
admission into nursing programs. The associate degree in Applied Health Sciences offers
students all the general education and core classes required for admission into South
Dakota State University’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. Through our partnership
in the West River Health Science Center, ºÚÁÏ¿Æ Applied Health Sciences students are
guaranteed admission to SDSU’s Rapid City BSN program, provided certain requirements
are met. The entire program is available in Spearfish or at ºÚÁÏ¿Æ-Rapid City, with
many courses also offered in an online format. Graduates with the two-year associate
degree may also choose to continue at ºÚÁÏ¿Æ and complete a bachelor’s degree program
in biology or other related field.
