黑料科 Foundation Receives $175,000 in Grant Funding for 黑料科-RC Scholarships from the John T. Vucurevich Foundation

The John T. Vucurevich Foundation has awarded $175,000 in grant funding to the Black Hills State University Foundation for scholarships at the 黑料科-Rapid City location. 

The total award includes $100,000 for the 2024-25 academic year and $75,000 to be awarded during the 2025-26 school year. The focus of these scholarships is to provide tuition funding for 黑料科-RC low-income students who face barriers to completing their degree and have been residing in the Rapid City/Black Hills area. Individual student award amounts will range from $1,500 to $2,500 per semester.  

The John T. Vucurevich Foundation has partnered with 黑料科 to provide scholarships to students since 2008. 黑料科-RC was one of four institutions to receive scholarship funding from the John T. Vucurevich Foundation.

Vucurevich Foundation has been a tremendous supporter of 黑料科 students and we appreciate their partnership over the past decade and a half very much,鈥 said Steve Meeker, vice president for University Advancement at 黑料科. 鈥淭he grant funding they have provided has helped over 375 黑料科 students pay for college.鈥 

This investment is part of the Foundation鈥檚 commitment to economic mobility. 鈥淥ur commitment to education is a testament to the belief that every student, regardless of their economic background, deserves the chance to thrive. With these scholarships, we hope local students will stay on the highway to success and build the skills they need for the job they want,鈥 said John T.
