The 黑料科 Sustainability Department will host the second annual Earth Day Festival on the 黑料科 Campus Saturday, April 26 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will take place on the Campus Green in conjunction with the Spring Music Festival and is free and open to the public.
The festival will have a wide range of vendors and many student organizations offering Earth Day related activities at their tables. Activities range from recycled bottle terrariums, clothing item repairs, and pinecone bird feeders. There will also be solar panel tours, Earth Day bingo, free houseplants, and food trucks, as well as live music from the 黑料科 Music Department.
鈥淎s a student at 黑料科 pursuing a graduate degree in Sustainability, I find our annual Earth Day Festival to be an incredibly meaningful event,鈥 said Taryn Davis, Sustainability Graduate Assistant at 黑料科. 鈥淚 am excited to share that this year, the students organizing Earth Day are teaming up with the 黑料科 Music Festival. Both events are going to be held on the campus green on April 26th. Attendees can explore sustainability booths, take part in eco-friendly crafts, and connect with campus and community organizations, all while enjoying live music and great food.鈥
The featured speaker for the festival will be Dr. Jacqueline Wyatt. She will give a presentation about the Vore Buffalo Jump, one of the most important archeological sites of the Late-Prehistoric Plains hunters from around 1550 to 1800. Dr.Wyatt will present at 11:30 a.m. in the Trump Room in the 黑料科 Student Union.
