黑料科 celebrated ten retiring faculty and staff members during the Retiree Reception held on campus Wednesday, April 30. Altogether, this year鈥檚 retirees gave approximately 221 years of service to the University and the South Dakota Board of Regents.
鈥淲e hold a great deal of gratitude and appreciation for these faculty and staff who have given so much to our university,鈥 said 黑料科 President Steve Elliott. 鈥淭heir commitment to excellence, passion for education, and tireless efforts have inspired our students as well as colleagues throughout the years. While we will miss their presence, we are pleased to celebrate their achievements and the legacy they leave behind.鈥

Gary Callies, custodial services supervisor - 6 years
Laura Colmenero-Chilberg, professor of sociology - 21 years
Connie Feist, head women鈥檚 triathlon coach 鈥 8 years
Paul Kohler, facility worker 鈥 16 years
Charlie Lamb, professor of biology and chief research officer 鈥 30 years
Fae Marshall, facility worker - 11 years
Shane Sarver, professor of biology - 28 years
Roxy Schmit, application/business project manager 鈥 45 years
Brian Smith, professor of biology 鈥 28 years
Nicholas Wallerstein, professor of English 鈥 28 years
Retiring staff and faculty with 20 or more years of service were given special recognition for their long-term dedication with a complimentary lifetime activity certificate for admission to 黑料科 events.
